HPT accompanies the 2nd Division of the 86th Command at the Scientific Workshop "Artificial Intelligence in Information Security and Safety (ISS): Opportunities and Challenges."

In order to contribute to the promotion of research and application of information security and safety (ISS), the 2nd Division of the 86th Command organized the 7th Scientific Workshop on ISS on September 13, 2023, at Quang Trung Software Park (QTSC). This year's workshop, with the theme "Artificial Intelligence in Information Security: Opportunities and Challenges," brought together many security experts, military and civilian agencies, management organizations, and ATTT (Information Security and Safety) entities in the southern region to exchange knowledge and practical experiences, discuss urgent issues, and stay updated on the latest trends in ATTT security.

The workshop was jointly organized by the 2nd Division of the 86th Command, the Emergency Response Center KGM VN (VNCERT), VNISA South Branch, Quang Trung Software Park Development Company (QTSC), with the participation of IT and ATTT businesses and organizations.

Mr. Ngo Vi Dong, Chairman of HPT's Board of Directors and Chairman of VNISA South Branch, attended the workshop and made valuable contributions to enhance the program with better content. He also shared and proposed long-term development directions for the industry, deeper collaboration among organizations, businesses, and state management agencies, and addressed challenges in ensuring ATTT security. This effort aims to strengthen and sustain Vietnam's digital transformation.

Ms. Vo Thi Trung Trinh - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications, presented commemorative flowers to the organizing units (2nd Division, VNISA South Branch, QTSC).

As a long-standing partner of the 2nd Division in various specialized tasks, HPT has also contributed to the success of the program as a sponsor and technical companion. With the topic "Application of AI in the Detection and Analysis of Malicious Code in PE Files," HPT's Information Security Center made a valuable contribution to the scientific report of the workshop. The article not only introduces the importance of AI application in the field of detecting and analyzing malicious code but also presents a method that combines the use of the MalConv model with Grad-CAM to create an IDA plugin. This plugin not only automates the process of detecting malicious code but also helps users visualize and better understand the structure and behavior of the malicious code.

An HPT representative received flowers from the organizing committee as a token of appreciation for the collaborating units.

The Workshop event is an annual scientific activity of practical significance that promotes the research and application of solutions to ensure information security and safety (ISS) within the military. Moreover, it serves as a platform for ATTT security experts to present research results and applications, facilitating professional networking, exchange of ideas, and the reception of contributions from peers, experts, and scientists from various agencies, institutions, academies, training organizations, and businesses. This, in turn, enhances professional competence, fosters a culture of learning and research, and ultimately aims to drive practical ATTT applications for both organizations and individuals.
